My Carvin DC127 as it looks today with Ultrasonic Ref 5's in both positions. This is the guitar I go to for sparkly clean tones. The body and neck are all koa. The fretboard is ebony.
My Carvin AE185-12. It gets electric 12 string sounds as well as acoustic 12 string sounds with its piezo bridge pickup. The body and neck are mahogany. The top is flamed maple. The fretboard is ebony.
My custom ordered Carvin DC135. I ordered it at the end of 1996. I wanted a guitar that could get David Gilmour's lead guitar tone, but I wanted better sustain and better access to the higher frets. This guitar has a maple neck that runs through the body, has a 24 fret ebony fretboard, great access to the upper frets, great sustain. The body sides are mahogany to add a little warmth to the tone. Gold hardware, Wilkinson VS100 trem, Sperzel tuners. The pickups are the Carvin S60's. |
