An Adamas SMT. This acoustic has a top made of layers of carbon fibers and birch. The back is the typical Lyracord bowl that Ovation uses. I'm not impressed with the tone of many Ovation guitars, but these Adamas guitars, despite being constructed of synthetic materials, have such a warm, woody tone that it's amazing. One of the nicest sounding and playing acoustic guitars I've ever played. I also like that it has an XLR output that can be run direct to a sound system, and the internal preamp can be powered by phantom power from the mixing board, so I never have to worry about the battery. | | |
