~~April 24, 2010 Caprine Expo. This day is filled with challenges, goat judging, quiz bowl, skillathon, problem solving, creative writing, crafts and much more. It is such a wonderful opportunity to test your knowledge and skills. Contact your extension office to get registered. Forms are due to your extension office around March 28. This will be an ADGA show, showmanship, one day milk test, the Michigan goat futurity, food, food, food, and lots more. This will be a one day show for youth age 9-18 from any county in Michigan. 4H and non-4H youth can participate. Classes will be in showmanship and breed for dairy, pygmy and meat breeds. It will be held at the Kent County Fairgrounds in Lowell, Michigan. See link below for contact information. ~~July 3 & 4, 2010 MDGS Goat Show and Youth Show At the Barry County fairgrounds. There is a $200 award for Grand Champion wether and $100 for reserve. The MBGA Education Committee is also putting on a showmanship clinic & fitting demo.
