1951 Case DC4 on propane

This DC was built sept 17 1951 butane (propane) attachment, shipped to zaloudik-neal-kirby lamont okla nov5 1951, came with 3888AA hydralic portable.

I bought this old tractor out in Arkansas. I was a "running" tractor, that we couldn't get running. After driving 12 hours one way to get it I wasn't coming home with out something, so I winched it up on the trailer and brought it home anyway.

After making one good magneto out of 4 parts magnetos I had it running. I had to replace both propane valves and adjust every setting there is to get it to run smooth. Now it runs like a new tractor, in fact it is running in the pictures.

Not pictured but I also have a 1949 DC4. It was built November 12 1948, and shipped to Burks machinery Co. Springfield MO. November 17, 1948.

Remember Case's year end was Oct. 31, so Nov. and Dec. tractors were the next years model.

I'm still debating on what to do with this one. I bought it as a parts tractor, but after getting the engine unstuck I played around with it till I got her running.
