Anyhoo, I was raised and grew up as the literal "Child of Vatican II". I always thought that the "Guitar Mass", the "Puppet Mass", Broadway showtunes played during Communion, etc, etc, ad nauseum, were correct.

But I had the gnawing feeling that something just wasn't quite right... something was missing. It wasn't until just a few short years ago that I had decided that I had had enough. Enough of the priest spreading the heresy of Universal Salvation (EVERYONE is going to Heaven! NO ONE is going to hell!) Sheesh... if that's the case, why am I Catholic? Why do I follow the 10 Commandments? Enough of the priest saying the "Our Father and Mother who art in Heaven" (Neo-paganism at it's finest). Enough of the priest openly questioning the Sacrament of Confession (prot-think at it's best)

And here we have our own former Pontiff, Pope John Paul II (may God have mercy on his soul) as he looks down as Jewish representatives carrying candles walk past during a prayer for peace in front of Assisi's Lower Basilica of St. Francis, central Italy, Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002. Imams, patriarchs, monks and rabbis from around the world joined Pope John Paul II on Thursday to pray to The Creator for world peace.


Hold on cowboy!!! Didn't Christ Himself state that "no man will come before The Father EXCEPT THROUGH ME"? Jesus The Christ wasn't even MENTIONED during that "prayer for peace". How sad our own pope sees fit to deny God The Son just so he can embrace the worldly "spirit of ecumenism".
